LEHR
The American outboard boat manufacturer LEHR is not yet globally known, but the company intends to significantly increase its profile with a line of engines fueled by LPG.
LEHR motors run on propane, which makes them undoubtedly cleaner from an environmental point of view, but in this case it is important for us, but not their first advantage. Their other advantages are also interesting, in which LEHR can confidently compete with the usual gasoline engines.
The first sample of a 5-horsepower LEHR gas suspension was presented for an express test immediately after receiving it from the United States by air, and LEHR owner Captain Bernardo Herzer ( Bernardo J. Herzer) and Chief Project Engineer Jack Malone. The test boat was the tried and tested Solar 330, tested under various motors.
The dealer added two more gas cylinders to the set of motor, manual and 7.5 7-inch propeller - a half-liter built-in and an external 9.5-liter with a reinforced plastic body, so it is not at all heavy. The motor does not look like any known prototype; gas equipment, of course, is original, and it is in it that the know-how of the American company consists. As the expressive owner of the brand explained, the engine is assembled from typical units produced at different factories, therefore it does not repeat the design of any model directly, but is optimized for propane operation.
